This opera was written by two National Artists,Felipe de Leon and Guillermo Tolentino (yes, the same Tolentino as the one who sculpted the Oblation). It has been two decades since Noli Me Tangere: The Opera was last staged in the Philippines with a full orchestra. It was visible in the stark difference between the fabrics: shiny and gauzy for the upper class, dull and muted colors for the lower class.
